PE 63 / 80 / 100
HDPE Pressure Pipes
HDPE pressure pipes to IS 4984 in PE 63, PE 80 and PE 100 grades — extruded at 300 kilograms an hour for irrigation mains, water supply and industrial conveyance.

HDPE pipe extrusion line
Overview
Pressure pipe output at 300 kg per hour.
All three grades, PN 2.5 to PN 20.
Full IS 4984 diameter range.
Corrosion-free conveyance.
HDPE extended the same extrusion discipline we had built for cable into water infrastructure. The appeal is simple: it does not corrode, it does not scale, and jointed correctly it stays leak-free for decades. For buried irrigation networks that matters far more than initial cost.
The grade decision is the one worth understanding. For the same pressure class, a higher PE grade needs a thinner wall — at OD 110 and PN 10, PE 63 needs 12.3 mm, PE 80 needs 10.0 mm and PE 100 needs 8.1 mm. That is roughly a third less material for the same duty, which changes both the price and the handling weight.

Pressure classes by grade
| Material grade | Pressure classes offered (PN) |
|---|---|
| PE 63 | 2, 2.5, 3.2, 4, 5, 6, 8 |
| PE 80 | 2.5, 3.2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12.5, 16, 20 |
| PE 100 | 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12.5, 16, 20 |
The number in the grade is the minimum required strength in bar × 10 at 50 years and 20 °C. The pressure ceiling rises with grade: PE 63 tops out around PN 8, PE 100 reaches PN 20.

Millimetres, minimum to maximum. IS 4984 specifies a minimum wall with a positive tolerance band. Diameters above 200 mm and the PE 63 and PE 100 tables are issued on enquiry against the printed standard.
