Consignments for Nepal move By road from Haryana through the Sunauli or Raxaul-Birgunj border, about 1,100 to 1,300 km, 4 to 6 days door to door; sea-land via Kolkata or Visakhapatnam for containerised cargo. Typical transit is road: 4 to 6 days; sea via Kolkata: 10 to 14 days; discharge at Birgunj dry port (Sirsiya ICD) or direct road delivery. We quote Ex Factory, FOB Kolkata or delivered-at-border on request, with payment by LC at sight or advance, INR or USD.
The grid runs at 50 Hz with 400/230 V low-voltage supply and 11 kV and 33 kV distribution with 33/11 kV substations; 66 kV and 132 kV sub-transmission. Distribution is operated by Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), regulated by Electricity Regulatory Commission (ERC). Import conformity: NEA technical specifications and type-test certificates; Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology (NBSM) for marked products.
