Shipping to Nepal.
Consignments for Nepal move By road from Haryana through the Sunauli or Raxaul-Birgunj border, about 1,100 to 1,300 km, 4 to 6 days door to door; sea-land via Kolkata or Visakhapatnam for containerised cargo. Typical transit is road: 4 to 6 days; sea via Kolkata: 10 to 14 days; discharge at Birgunj dry port (Sirsiya ICD) or direct road delivery. We quote Ex Factory, FOB Kolkata or delivered-at-border on request, with payment by LC at sight or advance, INR or USD.
The grid runs at 50 Hz with 400/230 V low-voltage supply and 11 kV and 33 kV distribution with 33/11 kV substations; 66 kV and 132 kV sub-transmission. Distribution is operated by Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), regulated by Electricity Regulatory Commission (ERC). Import conformity: NEA technical specifications and type-test certificates; Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology (NBSM) for marked products.
A servo stabilizer holds the output voltage steady by continuously varying a motorised variac, rather than switching between fixed taps. That gives smooth correction with no waveform distortion and no switching transient — which matters when the load is a CNC machine, a medical imaging system or a process line rather than a lighting circuit.
Three-phase units are built as single-variac (all phases corrected together) or three-variac (each phase independently). Specify three-variac where the incoming supply is unbalanced, as most Indian industrial feeders are.
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Rated capacity | 1 kVA to 25 kVA single phase; 10 kVA to 5000 kVA three phase |
| Cooling | Air natural (AN) on smaller ratings; oil natural (ONAN) on larger |
| Frequency | 50 / 60 Hz ± 5% |
| Applicable standards | IS 9815, IS 2026 for the internal transformer, IS 335 for oil |

What changes for Nepal.
- Climate and site: Terai plains to 45 °C; hill and mountain districts with altitude derating above 1,000 m and cold starts.
- Built to IEC 60076 for 50 Hz, with insulation levels for the 11 kV and 33 kV distribution with 33/11 kV substations and 400/230 V secondaries; temperature-rise limits and cooling sized for the stated ambient and altitude.
- Fittings, bushings and tap-changer ranges follow the utility specification (Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)); type-test certificates from CPRI or ERDA accompany the offer.
- Documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, test certificates and the import conformity certificate where Nepal requires one.
